WA Unemployment will require SOC code reporting beginning in Q4 (Oct 1- Dec31)

In 2020, the Legislature enacted Substitute House Bill 2308. This new law requires employers to include Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) codes or job titles for each employee starting October 1, 2022.

If you do not already have this set up for another state, prepare for this new requirement by setting up occupational codes in the Settings section of Here you can assign the appropriate occupational code to the position codes coming from your payroll system.
