Updated Feature – Pay Run Wizard: Improved Erroring when OT code does not have a base code for that EE in the pay run

Background:

‍

When an OT code is in the pay run, but the base code that it is tied to is NOT in the pay run, the whole pay run calc fails. Just as importantly, the calculation will fail without any detailed information about why or how to correct the issue.

What’s new?

‍

The error messaging for calculated codes has been improved in the following areas to help guide users toward the changes required to properly process their pay runs.

1. If the earning code is setup properly, but the base code is not included in the pay run, then only the impacted Employee will error instead of the entire pay run
2. If the earning code is setup improperly, but with no base code associated to the calculated code at the settings level, it will restrict the code from being added to the run.
3. If the earning code is setup improperly, but with multiple base code associated to the calculated code at the settings level, it will restrict the code from being added to the run.
