June 2026 product updates from Greenshades

Two updates this month — both aimed at closing gaps clients have been working around. One adds a scheduling option that's been missing from payroll code configuration. The other completes Greenshades' Minnesota Paid Leave coverage across all three filing scenarios.

New scheduling option for payroll codes

Earnings, benefits, and deductions have always supported a few scheduling frequency options: split evenly across pay runs, even amount per month, and full amount on the first pay run of the month. The last pay run of the month was the gap.

That gap is now closed. Full amount on the last scheduled pay run of the month is available in the scheduling selection UI for earnings, benefits, and deductions.

The complete set of scheduling options now available:

  • Split evenly across all pay runs
  • Even amount per month
  • Full amount on the first scheduled pay run of the month
  • Full amount on the last scheduled pay run of the month

Minnesota Paid Leave: full scenario coverage now live

Minnesota Paid Leave has three distinct filing scenarios depending on how employees are covered. With this release, Greenshades supports all three — bringing complete MNPL coverage for PTS clients.

The three supported scenarios:

  • All employees covered by both UI and Paid Leave
  • Some employees covered by both UI and Paid Leave, and some covered by Paid Leave only
  • All employees covered by Minnesota Paid Leave only

Clients filing and paying MNPL in Greenshades Payroll Tax Service can now handle all supported scenarios without leaving the system.
