How Farmers Union made payroll work from anywhere

Farmers Union Mutual Insurance had relied on Dynamics SL and software hosted on internal servers for years. When employees needed to work remotely, access to the office network became a daily obstacle.

The company's VPN reached capacity, and staff staggered time in the office so they could connect directly. Farmers Union decided to move its financial operations to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. But Business Central did not include the payroll function the team had used in Dynamics SL.
